Dr. Smirnova graduated from St. Petersburg Medical University, named after Academic Pavlov in 2000; she had residency and internship at the department of hospital therapy. She studied at the post graduate department from 2003 till 2006 and successfully defended her thesis. In 2003 Dr. Smirnova had a special course on gastroenterology and worked at a gastroenterology department. Dr. Smirnova has been working as a general practitioner for over 7 years. She has been employed by AMC since 2007.
